Cosmically attuned, galactically aligned
yet lost in corridors between my own mind
Come to ocean, peace to find
To a stone in this cliff my life's a grain in time
Here to purify so I follow the moon
Every month I bleed as though there's a war in my womb
as though in sympathy for all the casualties
all the life dreams that never got to be
Lying here at river's end, stranded on sand
This day week moment life didn't work out as planned
washed up, on dry land
This life such a blessing, so why been I stressing,
obsessing, when everything seems pressing, oppressing,
pressing oppressing oppressing just depressing
Don't know where I go next year next week
Don't know how to find don't know what I seek
O Mama Ocean can you pretty please tell me,
could I buy truth is it something you'd sell me?
Ha - enlightenment come from within
And every beginning encloses its end

This life is a river going to the sea
Beauty and pain raining down on me
World full of ignorance, greed, desire
One foot in the icicles, one on fire
Pain and torture beyond description
Happiness an addiction, temporary fiction

No rainbows without the rain
Beauty come from divine light shining through pain
The coldest moment comes before the dawn
so I turn in faith to face the dark horizon
Let go and trust, let go and trust
And sometimes you've got to just
say 'fuck it' and Dance

Still sun through the trees says be, be at ease
I bow at feet of poets through the centuries
who wrote it, who spoke it, the story of the soul
who told it, the whole damn story of the soul
Put here for a reason but I don't know why
We are a flock of birds swooping, infinite sky
Rain from the sky drops, plants n me drinking
Molecules collide, we're the universe thinking
Brown into green into green into brown
Everything, everything comes back around
You've been waiting for the day when you can feel whole
but the path is the goal, the path is the goal

So blessed, so blessed still we forget to see it
So busy becoming that we forget to be it
Enlightenment is here if you'd learn to accept it
The universe is magic so learn to expect it
Gratitude, for this body this light
Gratitude for this cold, gratitude for this night
Gratitude for all the mud, forced me to get clean
Gratitude for wounds taught me how to heal again
We're each required to grow, the universe demands
